Free and Confidential Alcohol & Drug Support Available in Leicester |
||
|
Dear Residents,
As part of Alcohol Awareness Week, we would like to highlight the support available locally through Turning Point Leicester, a free and confidential service for anyone affected by alcohol or drug use.
Many people can find it difficult to seek help, particularly where language, cultural, or personal barriers exist. Turning Point provides a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where individuals can access professional advice, one-to-one support, wellbeing assessments, group work and recovery services.
The service is available to Leicester residents and offers support in several community languages, including Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Polish. Dedicated support workers are available to help those who may find it easier to access services in their preferred language.
Community Drop-In Session at the Peepul Centre
Residents can speak with Nimisha in Gujarati, Hindi or English at the weekly Turning Point drop-in session: 📅 Every Wednesday
If you, a friend or a family member would benefit from advice or support regarding alcohol or drug use, please don't hesitate to reach out. Help is available, and no one has to face these challenges alone.
